We held the Rebelles Meet and greet in march 2011
renewed our 600$ budget and opirg working group status (still unused, which means we've been working for 6 months without $$$)
formed rad cheerleading squad which performed at WW2011 and TBTN
had a presence at TBTN and brought forth discussion on gender binary/neutrality
Shaun reviewed manifesto for gender neutrality
We continued our blog with a variety of articles throughout the year from different contributors
supporting postal workers struggles with labour and feminism event
published statement of position to denounce treatment of sex workers at WW2011
participated in WW2011 - table + youth convergence
hosted 3 pom pom making workshops
tabled at social justice fair at uottawa during alt 101
participated in and critically examined Occupy Ottawa and Occupy Mov't more broadly
hosted 3 button-making workshops/events at OPIRG
Our fb group has grown to 92 members
we raised enough money to subsidize 3 of our members at the winnipeg gathering for an amount equivalent to food and lodging.
we had our first 'period' in july 2011 to reflect on the movement and its direction
we remain decentralized and collective as much as possible, functioning without an executive (with the exception of a treasurer to keep track of the budget)
we organized a myth-busting event on sex work
We supported and attended events on June 10th to un-welcome harper to parliament
we contributed to the pro-choice presence at the march for life, may 2011
we endorsed seema's rally for women's rights on april 16
we held a modest consulta and invited other groups to participate to bring local feminist issues to the table in winnipeg
our members attended Tools for Change by OPIRG and disseminated the information gathered internally
debrief on WW2011 included a discussion on accountability and goals for our local movement

Here is a list of some things we've accomplished since our start in September 2009.
  • We founded the group and built a network of 38 members on googlegroup and 70+ members on facebook
  • We held our first event at Raw Sugar for 16 days campaign and raised over 80$ for OCTEVAW
  • We participated in the Take Back the Night march 2009 and in 2010
  • We supported the Sisters in Spirit vigils in october 2009
  • We created a blog!
  • We held our first skillshare on how to use googlegroups and our blog
  • We created and implemented a local decision-making process
  • We engaged the provincial Ontario RebELLEs and the pansecretariat in an ongoing discussion on our decision-making structure as a movement
  • We've supported the planning and logistics of 2 International
    Women's Day Events in 2010, and are currently doing the same for 2011
  • We performed our manifesto in spoken word format at IWD 2010
  • We've networked and collaborated with: Organizing for Justice,
    Amnesty International's Gender Rights Network, Pro-Choice Coalition of
    Ottawa, Women's Worlds 2011, OCTEVAW,  and the Women's Event Network
  • We-ve tabled at International Women's Day events, Take Back the Night, the University of
    Ottawa, May Day, and the Social Justice Fair
  • We are in the process of creating a radical cheerleading troupe
  • We became an OPIRG( Ontario Public Interest Research Group ) Action Group
